As the owner and agency principal, Kyle leads the team at Portland Insurance. Portland Insurance is committed and focused on providing simple, no-nonsense insurance solutions for Portland, IN area families and businesses.

In his role as a Certified Workers Compensation Advisor, Kyle recently founded Control Your Mod, a specialty division of Portland Insurance. Kyle’s passion and focus is in helping established Indiana area manufacturing firms to Remove the Confusion, Stop the Frustration, and End the Struggle on their Work Comp and related business risks and insurance program.

Kyle specializes in helping Owners, CEOs, CFOs, and Controllers of manufacturing and related businesses who want to focus on running their businesses and not stress about insurance. He uses a proven, proprietary process to identify and assess risks, and minimize Work Comp and Insurance Program costs.

As a 12 year veteran in the insurance and risk management profession, Kyle is committed to ongoing professional development. He holds the following industry designations:

He has over 15 years’ experience being involved in safety audits for the food and manufacturing industries. Additionally, Steve has directly guided companies in their training & monitoring of daily safety actions, written policies, and procedures for the past 8 years.

Steve has completed 2 OSHA certified 30 hour classes and has a passion for making the implementation of safety within your business as simple as possible.
